(Note, writing the journal part retrospectively 24th July 2020 at 13 weeks, four days, using old journals.)

At 8 weeks and 3 days, I had the best day I’d had in weeks. Still nauseous. Still throwing up every morning but so much better and just felt like myself again.

I wrote to a few friends and was just on a high!

“I feel normal. I feel me, again”

it was a great feeling and I did a full day of work.

I even had some great client calls and I’m really focused on my goal to get my business some legs in the next six months, and have a bunch of clients pass through so next year I can look at setting it up for some time off.

I know baby child this might not be so interesting to you, but mummy is a businesswoman, and she’s proud of her business and I want to be a role model for you.

Sometimes I’m hard on Matt, and I’m snapping at him.

I can blame the hormones but he really has been wonderful. Doing the shopping, getting extra things when I need them and cooking all of our meals. It’s so good and he’s trying to help where he can. He’s so good around the house. And I have no worries about co-parenting with him. He’s so loving and amazing with doing the tasks around the house that I know he’ll jump right in as a father.

Later in the week I was still feeling better. I’m talking to Lauren a lot. It’s funny how over the course of our lives, we’ve drifted back to one another. She’s my oldest friend, and she’s been amazing with helpful advice. We’ve been having such nice calls and baby chats. She’s got her second on the way, and she’s so hopeful I’ll have a boy – haha as she’s got one and is having another! All the hand me downs!

So she’s planning to send me her stuff either way, and she’s already got other things to send me which will be so helpful, more maternity clothes and things to prep for baby. Anything I don’t have to research, shop for or pay for, the better!

On the 22nd of June. I did the Business Chicks Business Club day and it was so awesome. I loved getting to focus on the business and writing a letter to myself in six months time. It was so powerful.

It’s the first time I wrote to you little one. And it was so emotional and special and it made it real. I’m working hard to build a beautiful life for this family.
